Takes a field investigation in seven rural houses in suburb of Beijing. The results show that most of the occupants consider the indoor environment comfortable and their thermal sensation votes are higher than PMV(predicted mean vote). The thermal neutral temperature in rural housing is 18.4 ℃, and the lower limit of acceptable temperature is 10.9 ℃. The comfortable temperature is affected strongly by the clothing habit and lifestyle of the occupants. Therefore, the indoor heating temperature standard for rural housing cannot be simply duplicated from that for urban housing, and it is not reasonable to keep a higher temperature difference between indoor and outdoor.
